This week at the house

The menu changes because the fields do

Every plate starts at a farm we can drive to. Cedar Meadow Farm brings the grass fed beef, Pequea Valley the yogurt, and the produce arrives on the morning it was cut. When a crop turns, so does the menu, which is why we write it in pencil and print it four times a year.

Order ahead and it is waiting on the counter, hot, with your name on the ticket.

What our guests say

Five stars, and the same faces every week

The chorizo hash is worth the drive from Lancaster, and the cortado is the best I have had in the county.

We come in every Saturday morning with the kids. They know our order and they always find us a table.

A real farm to table kitchen in a small town, run by people who clearly love it. The menu changes and it is always good.

Booked the room for my mother’s birthday. They built the menu around the season and handled every detail.

Our farm partners

Named on the menu, because they earned it

We could write local and leave it there. We would rather tell you whose field it came from.

Cedar Meadow Farm

Grass fed beef and the chorizo in our hash, raised right here in Elverson on no-till pasture.

Pequea Valley Farm

Whole milk yogurt for the baked oatmeal, from a herd that has been in the same family four generations.

Amazing Acres Farm

Chevre from a herd of Nubians in Elverson, whipped onto our toast and crumbled over the market salad.

The coffee program

Roasted by people we drink with

Our espresso comes from Collective Coffee Co., our sister roastery, and it is dialed in twice a day against the milk we actually pour. Alongside it runs a rotating single origin on pour over, changed whenever the lot runs out rather than whenever the calendar says so.

On espressoCollective Blend · nutty, dark chocolate, balanced
On pour overPresent Tense · single origin Yirgacheffe
On cold brewSynergy · milk chocolate, toasted almonds, citrus
